Consequences of Sin
In this lesson we will examine the consequences of the Fall, particularly in regard to the changed perception of the human body. We will learn how the punishments for Adam and Eve’s sin are a result of their attempt to objectify God. We will consider how Adam and Eve then come to view their own bodies and those of other persons. Professor Stanford explains the struggles that both man and woman must face, and how shame is an important sign that man’s dignity persists even in a fallen world.
