Reality as a Gift

Having explored what man was originally meant to experience, we turn to discuss the relationship that was at stake when Adam and Eve were tempted. Professor Stanford introduces us to John Paul II’s “Hermeneutics of the Gift,” and explores the meaning of gifts and giving in light of our intended relationship with the Creator. We also touch on the particular differences indicated by the male and female bodies, and how these differences make possible the giving and receiving of persons.
