History, the Teacher of Christian Life
Too many men and women have experienced the study of history as the memorization of seemingly lifeless facts. For us as Catholics, however, history allows us to see how God’s providence has worked in every age and every culture. In this first lesson, you will learn that the Incarnation of Jesus Christ is the center, the focal point, of history. You will also receive an overview of the historical contributions of three great ancient civilizations, and you’ll consider some of the timeless questions that underlie the work of the historian.
